Congratulations to three members of the Perth Scorpions Volleyball Club for their appointments to national Volleyball Australia events.

Ray Gilling, the club's Training and Development Coordinator has been selected to join the Australian Coaching Team at the National Performance Program December Squad Camp event in Queensland from December 13th to 18th 2025. Being appointed to this event is to be celebrated with Ray needing to go through an application process to be appointed. Congratulations, Ray!

David Forster & Shaun Barnett, two of the clubs experienced Referees were selected to join the WA Officials team as Referee Supervisors for the 2025 Australian Volleyball Schools Cup (AVSC), also hosted in Queensland. The event spaned seven days, from December 7th to 13th. Similar to Ray's achievement, these appointments require an application process, and an endorsed selection from the Volleyball Australia Referee Committee. AVSC is the largest indoor school sporting competition in the Southern Hemisphere! The event includes international schools as well, providing an excellent array of volleyball skills. These appointments for Ray, David and Shaun are volunteer with coaches and officials taking time away from work to support these national events. Congratulations to these three individuals as they continue to represent themselves, the club, their state and Australia.
